I will try to glue on the broken part, and I will try to jerry-rig an older pump that I have to make it work with this fountain, and hopefully it will be quieter. I do not think it is the fault of merchant or shipper. The merchandise went through somekind of scrutiny because the ball which is the part of the fountain has somekind of dark color test spray marks which cannot be removed. The fountain-clock could be easily mistaken after 9/11 as somekind of bomb device such as a clock, lighted pump unit with cable and a globe bigger than the baseball. I did not asked the merchant to replace the ball which is a tell tale sign of the time we lived. Other than that the fountain-clock is a beautiful additon to my house.
